International Geneva has been turned upside-down.
Many changemakers have devoted their careers to making a better world, only to find themselves needing to think the unthinkable, often at short notice.
For some, the question is “How do I find work to do now?“
For others, “How do I develop my own brand and craft the next step over the coming months?“
– How can I use my skills and experience in other sectors, other roles? What does that even look like?
– What do I need to embrace?
– What do I need to let go of?
– What resources can I draw upon in this journey?
– Who do I need to become to successfully navigate this chapter in my life?
I have been career coaching international professionals in Geneva since 2008.
With a career in consulting and leadership roles, I bring perspectives and insights gained from twenty years’ working in the private and nonprofit sectors in Geneva.
I guide clients through the journey, helping them (re)connect with the values that drive them, supporting them as they process the emotions that accompany profound change, and developing powerful personal strategies to find and make the next move that works for them.

I am delighted to recommend Tim as a careers coach.
“He’s a great listener and he created an atmosphere where I could be open and honest. He made sure I was driving what we discussed, whilst guiding me along the way. This allowed me to say out loud what I had been thinking about and that helped me to focus my thinking and to generate good ideas.
“Overall, the coaching experience was excellent.”

Coaching Principles

Each of us has a unique set of talents, qualities, abilities, values and experiences.
At our best, each of us can make a tremendous, meaningful impact through our work that gives real fulfilment and balance, and a life of ongoing growth and development.
Too often however, our best sits – dormant – as unexpressed potential. We have not found ways that work for us to consistently realise our own potential.
We can feel this in many ways; as frustration with ourselves or others, an unidentified ‘gap’ between where we are and where we want to be, or fear about how to achieve our goals.
How can coaching help?
Our passion and skill is to help people connect with and realise their potential, in order to increase impact and satisfaction.
We enable people to find and connect with what makes their heart sing, what gives them joy and energy in their work, and get clarity about their passion and purpose.
We help people and teams get from where they are to where they want to be. We work with them to find constructive and motivating ways to handle challenges and obstacles.
In doing this, we see our role as holding our clients to be naturally creative, resourceful, and whole, helping them to figure out the best solutions and actions.
Who do you coach?
– International, Expatriate, Professional Individual Clients
– CEOs, Business Owners, Leaders and Teams within the SME sector creative industries
– United Nations and Humanitarian / Development / Fundraising Non-Profit leaders and teams.
The role of the coach
As a change agent, sparring partner and sounding board, On Purpose Coaches work alongside clients and teams to support, challenge, be a sounding board, and hold them accountable as they move forward.
As fully trained, certified, qualified and experienced coaches, we take a structured approach that is down to earth, enthusiastic, warm, probing, empowering, listening, and confidence building.
Our team has delivered coaching and training, focussing on empowerment to creative teams and leaders, both in the SME sector, and in the humanitarian / international development area, advising the United Nations and Non-Profits.
How are sessions conducted?
– Coaching delivery is bespoke, designed with each client at the start of the coaching relationship.
– Sessions can be conducted on Zoom, or in person:
Zoom clients book a convenient time at https://on-purpose.as.me/coach
Face-to-face coaching can be arranged at On Purpose’s office, which is equipped with individual meeting rooms, a boardroom, and is situated in the heart of the international area of Geneva. Alternatively, meetings can be held at client offices, or a mutually convenient location.
– Session frequency is tailored to each client. The most common format for individual professional coaching is three, one-hour sessions per month. Team and corporate clients will normally adjust this to fit specific requirements.
– The structure of the coaching alliance is designed from the outset to best suit the particular qualities of each client. Our coaching process uses a combination of being and doing, action and learning to progress down a dynamic, clear, structured path to achieving goals.
